About Plant A Purpose
Plant A Purpose Affordable Living is a shared housing program in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, designed for adults who are ready to move forward but don’t yet know where to go.
We serve people who are in transition — leaving shelters, reentering society, or simply trying to stabilize after a setback. We offer clean, fully furnished, affordable rooms with utilities included, in a structured environment built on respect, accountability, and second chances. No judgment. No overcomplicated process. Just a safe place to reset and rebuild.
If you don’t know where to go next — this is where you start.
Our Passion
Anthony and I know what it feels like to start over with nothing.
After incarceration and reentry, we rebuilt our lives from the ground up — no roadmap, no safety net, just the determination to keep moving forward. We built a family. We built stability. And somewhere along the way, we realized that what we went through didn’t just shape us — it gave us a responsibility to reach back and help others find their footing too.
Plant A Purpose was born from that place. Not from a boardroom or a grant application — but from lived experience. We know what it means to be in survival mode, to have your mind so consumed by where you’re going to sleep tonight that you can’t think about anything else. When your basic needs aren’t met, nothing else is possible. That’s not a personal failure — that’s human nature. And it’s exactly why we do this work.
Our Goals
Our goal is simple: give people a stable place to land so they can finally start moving forward.
When someone doesn’t know where they’re going to sleep, they can’t focus on a job, a plan, or a future. Plant A Purpose exists to remove that barrier. We provide clean, structured, affordable housing so that the people we serve can stop surviving and start building — because we believe that once a person’s foundation is secure, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.
We are building more than a housing program. We are building a legacy — one that says that where you’ve been does not define where you’re going, and that everyone deserves a real chance to take off.
